Zeberdee- Surrogate Alpha Dog...

Zeberdee is a lovely old girl aged 12 years....

She was rescued by Genna and we are very grateful to Valgrays for taking her in.

She has managed to tug on all our heart strings and we are raising money for her upkeep.  She has had an operation to remove a large lump from her hind leg, and is doing well.

06.30am

this is a couple after she had a bath.....will collect her at 9.30 and hope this will give her a way of walking without
that horrible lump hanging around....i will let you know the outcome of what the lump is....even if it is maglinant
she must feel better without it even if it may be for a short while but that is something no one will no, but any medical problems valgrays
will support her for life.

4.30pm

hi, well zeb is home from the vets, she is a little sore but ive had her back since this morning and she has now got up at tea time and had a
nice bowl of cooked chicken.....her leg has a drainage tube in and we are back to vets on tuesday....she is very underweight but hopefully
this is now the new beginning of a new life for her.

10.30pm

she is brighter tonite just put her in garden,,,she's had a nice bowl of cooked chicken...
sleeping in kitchen as it is lino and she is dripping via the tube...but does have a nice bit
soft bed....so nite nite

just to give you the update on zeb....well she arrived here via jo....and i must admit i was really sad to see her in the
condition she was in.....she was running alive with flea's and her toe nails needed a good clip,,,,,,so without anytime
wasted, she had a bath, killed all the flea's, she has a sore skin where they have bit her....nails cut, wormed chipped
and in general looked so much better.
 
the lump on her leg was huge so the vet looked at it and today she had it removed....it weighed 6lb it was not such an
easy op as they thought,,,,as it was attached to a legion to a vein....so the lump has been sent off to be checked out.
she has been kept in over nite and i will collect her in morning and she will have a peaceful weekend doing nothing,
she has got drainage tube in to keep it free from fluid....he also gave her a steriod to stop her itching.....poor sole.
 
but anyway hopefully this will give her a new lease of life, i do have someone interested but until she gets over this
and the tube comes out next tuesday she will stay here with me.  i will take some pics.
 
perhaps this is why the owners did not want her as this is not going to be cheap.....but she is worth it.
