         Meet our team........................

Rachel ( Team Captain)

Rachel started flyball with Husband Mark and Charlie their first dog in 2001. 

Rachel is now owned by 4 border collies, Charlie, Gemma, Milo and Teddy and a jack russell, Ben.

Gemma and Teddy are racing in Alpha Dogz and Milo, Charlie & Ben are racing in Alpha Mayhem. .   

Rachel enjoys running Gemma and Ben, leaving Mark to run the 3 muskateers ( Boo, Mi Mi and Wed Wed). 

Rachel is a BFA qualified Head Judge, and was a newly appointed Committee member of the BFA in April this year.

Mark

Mark started flyball with Wife Rachel in 2001, with their WSD Charlie. 

Since then, they now have 5 dogs and are at flyball most weekends.

Mark Currently runs Milo in Alpha Mayhem and Teddy in Alpha Dogz.

He once made the mistake of saying "Flyball is my Life",

to the amazement of Rachel, and has never lived it down since, Nice one Mark lol....

Rebecca

Rebecca was introduced to flyball by her sister Rachel. 

Rebecca and Husband Andy are owned by 5 dogs, 3 border collies Maxie, Bobby and Ruby, a cocker spaniel, Guy and a xbreed Diggy.

Rebecca runs Ruby in Alpha Dogz and Guy in Starters.  We are excited about his promotion to Grown up racing, but we have a little bit of work to do on the box yet, to convince Guy it wont bite him.  Diggy is yet to try flyball, but will be giving it a go very shortly if he can keep his nose off the floor long enough.  ( he is a beagle cross  lol)

Rebecca is the Starters team captain, as Maxie decided thats where he wanted to race.  Bec loves Startes so it seemed a good plan.

Becsie is also our Team website Webmaster.

Andy

Andy is married to Rebecca. They started flyball in 2004. 

Andy initially wasnt keen on the whole flyball thing, but was introduced to box loading.

He started running Bobby in Starters two years ago, and it has been the introduction to flyball from Hell. To say he has been a challenge is an understatement.  Andys Continued faith in Bobby is starting to pay off and Bobby now runs in Alpha Dogz.  He has an aversion to the red lane still but blue seems sorted.

Andy also get the pleasure of Running Maxie in Starters, much to Bec,s Disgust.  ( Maxie is her dog Really!!) If there are two teams entered at starters, Andy is captain of one of the teams..

Genna.

Genna started flyball in 2006.

Together with Gromit they have five dogs, 2 ESS Busta and Blade, 2 Staffies Tillie and Rude and Blu the border collie.

Genna Currently Runs 10 year old Busta in Starters.  Blade has recently returned to racing after a Cruciate Op, running in Alpha Mayhem. 

Genna also Runs her beloved Blu in Alpha Dogz.

Gromit

Gromit was introduced to flyball by his partner Genna, and has not looked back.

He now runs Tillie in Alpha Mayhem,

Gromit has a puppy Rude a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who he is currently running in starters.

Gromit also box loads for Alpha Dogz. 

As you can see from the Picture, Grom does tend to be the entertainer of the camp......

John -Dogz Captain

John is married to Cathie, and has three adorable dogs, Bertie ( Saluki x collie), Annie ( Border collie) and Pumpkin.( Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriver) Phew.

John Currently Runs Pumpkin in Alpha Dogz, and Annie in Starters. 

He also Box loads for Alpha Mayhem .  Bertie needs his Dad on the box, to offer encouragement. lol..

John is a BFA Judge, and regularly enjoys judging at shows.

Cathie

Cathie is Married to John, and Has three dogs, Bertie, Annie and Pumpkin.

Cathie runs Bertie in Alpha Mayhem, and Multi Breed.  He needs alot of encouragement to get him out of " Bertie World" and into Flyball Mode.  Some times its an impossibility.  Bertie world is such a nice place to be, who can blame him.  we all love Berts.

Cathie is John,s glamarous assistant ( some would say the engine room) for Sunnyside photography.  You will see them at shows through the summer.  Visit their website Sunnyside from our links page.

Cathie is very good at looking after the team, and we love her for it....

Cerys

Cerys is Rachel and Rebecca's Niece.  She is 8 years old and lives in Rugby, Leicestershire.

She Co-owns one Dog , Ruby who lives with Andy and Bec.  Cerys helps run Ruby whenever she comes to tournaments.

She has recently learned to do the paperwork on the line, and helps out when needed.

She really enjoys flyball and likes to come whenever she has time in her busy life.

Alison

Alison has recently joined Alpha Dogz along with her partner Alistair and her teenage son Jakob.

She has been in flyball for a number of years, and has two dogz Moo, a border Collie and T4 a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriver

Alistair

Alistair has recently joined the Alpha Dogz along with his partner Alison and her son Jakob.

They have two dogs , Moo a Border Collie, and T4 a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriver.

Alistair has been in flyball for many years, and has run many dogs. He will be running Moo in Alpha Mischief from Easter 09.

Jakob

Jakob has recently joined Alpha Dogz along with his Mum Alison, and her partner Alistair.

They have two dogs, Moo a Border Collie and T4 a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriver who Jakob runs in competition.

Jakob also runs Moo in Crufts Flyball and was part of the team who came second in YKC Flyball at Crufts 2009.
