Alpha Dogz Flyball Team

  Meet our Dogz...........

Busta (aka Bugga)

Busta is a 10 year old English Springer Spaniel.  He is owned by Genna and Gromit, and lives with Blade, Blu and Rude.

Bugga ( as we all affectionately call him) runs in our starters team Alpha Dogz in Training, and is run by Mum Genna.  Dad Gromit box loads for this team as Busta needs special encouragement to get his ball from the box, 51ft there and back is a long way when you are 10 years old.

Busta  runs his little heart out bless him ( run, probably being the wrong word, more of a waddle) and he is a very important member of the team.  Along with his Friends Maxie and Annie Bugga will be a permanant fixture in our starters team as a training aid for our youngsters. He is considered a VIP in Alpha Dogz..

Blade (aka Speedy)

Blade is a 6 year old English Springer Spaniel.  He is owned by Genna and Gromit and lives with his Dad Busta, Blu and Rude.

Speedy ( as we affectionately call him) currently runs in our Starters team, Alpha Dogz in Training.  This is not a permanant fixture, Blade has gained some open flyball points but suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament last year.  He had the operation in January this year, and made an astonashing recovery.  He is in Starters until our team height Dog, Ben is old enough for open competition in July.

Mum Genna thought Speedy would never do flyball again, and we are all delighted with his progress, and cant wait to see him back in Open where he belongs !!!

NEWS FLASH.......  Blade returned to Open Flyball ( Where he belongs) in July 08, Go Speedy!!!!

Blu (aka Wonk)

Blu is a 2 Year old Border Collie.  He Lives with Genna and Gromit and Busta, Blade and Rude.

Blu gets his affectionate nickname due to an accident when he was 8 weeks old which resulted in reconstruction surgery on his Jaw..  Hence Wonk.. ( Wonky jaw).

Blu is Run by his Mum, Genna who he adores.. in Alpha Dogz, he is very versatile and can run in any position. 

Tillie (aka Gremlin)

Tille is a 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and lives with Gennas Friend.

Tillie is a great ambassador for the Staffie, Hilariously Funny, Gentle and Kind.  She Has the most amazing voice, treating us all to her excited squeal regularly at Flyball.  

She is Run by her best Friend Gromit and they have a great relationship.  Tillie adores flyball and has defied her critics and become the Staffie with the most points in the BFA.  Alpha Dogz are very proud to have her in our team....

Rude ( aka Rudy Dudy)

Rude is a eighteen month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  She Lives with Genna, Gromit, Busta, Blade and Blu.

Rude has obviously been taking lessons of Auntie Tillie, Cos like her she is a great example of her breed.  Gentle, Sweet and Kind and Desperate to please.

Rude is In Alpha Mayhem and is Run by her Dad , Gromit.. Rude is a very sensitive little soul and Dad as to be careful not to upset her.  Say "no" to Rudie and her little world crumbles...  She will not run again for the rest of the day.  A Lesson learnt quite early on..  Bless Her..

Rude is quite the little superstar and already has her Flyball Dog Intermediate award, after her debut in February 09.

Charlie (aka Boo)

Charlie is a 7 year old Border collie ( or so we were told, were not convinced hes not a Collie x Shepherd).  He lives with Rachel, Mark, Gemma, Milo, Teddy and Ben.

Charlie is the head of the Child Canine Club.  His Brothers and Sisters certainly know their place..  Boo is getting quite michevious as he gets older, and becoming quite the naughty boy. He has to be reminded whos overall boss in the household lol.  He is Very affectionate and Loves "Giving Sugar" ( A Cuddle to you and i)  He talks to you when he is enjoying it.. 

Charlie is run by Mark at the Moment ( Has had many handlers- Bless Him) in Alpha Mischief.  Mum and Dad say that Ben (JRT) was Charlies present for getting older so he could run over 7 inch jumps, which he is grateful for as he is a Bull in a china shop when he hits the box at speed.

Gemma ( aka Princess GB)

Gemma is a 5 year old Border Collie of Wizaland Breeding.  She lives with Rachel, Mark, Charlie, Milo, Teddy and Ben.

Gemma Gets her Nickname "Princess Gemma Bear" because of her attitude.  She has an air of Grandeur about her, and is far too important to be ignored.  Rachel Wanted a Bidable Working dog with Attitiude, i think she met her match in Gemma.  She is the most affectionate loving little girl which can get quite annoying, in Gemma World there are no other dogs...

Gemma is Run by her Mum Rachel in Alpha Dogz, and is quite a handful, she loves the game so much she often tries to have another go, to the utter frustration of her Mum..  Gemma is quite a natural at Flyball and has a natural swimmers turn, but boy does she know it....

Milo (aka Mi Mi)

Milo is a 3 year old Border Collie, He lives with Rachel, Mark, Charlie, Gemma Teddy and Ben.

Milo was rescued by Rachel and Mark at 5 months old from a life in a shed where his previous owners kept him.  He is constantly showing his gratitude to them in his sweet little way.  He has quite a nervous disposition ( Not suprisingly) and has to be handled with Care.  He adores his Dad Mark and they have a really close bond.

Milo is run by Mark in Alpha Mayhem, and can run in any postition. 

Teddy (aka Goofy)

Teddy is a 2 year old Border Collie, He Lives with Rachel, Mark, Charlie,Gemma , Milo and Ben.

Teddy was bred by Doreen Smith of the Northern Bytes and is litter brother to Ruby.

Teddy is very excitabe and always on the go, even when he wags his tail he has to wag his whole body. Hes a lovely boy to live with.

Ted has an overshot jaw, so is part of the Goofy Club with his mate Blu...

Teddy is Run by Mark in Alpha Dogz , and can run any position.

Ben (aka Bendy Boop)

 Ben is a Jack Russell Terrier and is two in January.  Ben lives with Rachel, Mark, Charlie, Gemma, Milo and Teddy.

Ben is your typical JRT, a large dog in a small body. What he lacks in size he makes up in attitiude and has no problems keeping up wuth his collie Brothers and Sister. He has a very sweet nature, but can be very noisy....

Ben has just come out into open competition and is doing very well, apart from dropping his ball very occassionally.  He runs in Alpha Mayhem and is Last Dog.  Blade is very grateful to Ben, because of him, he can run in Open over 7 inch jumps. Cheers Bendy Boop.....

Max (aka Maxie Doodle Dandy)

Max is a 7 year old Border Collie.  He lives with Rebecca, Andy, Bobby, Ruby and Diggy.

Max is one on his own, he can be very affectionate on his terms, but is very anti social.  He prefers to sit on his own than in a crowd.  He is very much a Mummys Boy and defies everyone else.  He only listens to Mum when he wants to... His Mum would call him Independent, others would say disobedient.

Max Currently runs in Starters, but has previoulsy run in Open Competition in his own way..  Max didnt see the point of running over the jumps when he has the ball , he would rather run round them..  So We decided to put him in Starters, and he remains very happy there.  Bless Him.......

Bobby (aka Bob the Gob)

Bobby is a 3 year old Border Collie.  He lives with Rebecca, Andy, Max, Ruby and Diggy.

Bobby has been a very slow maturer, and has taken along time to train.  Bobby is very affectionate and has a really strong bond with his Dad, Andy.  This bond has developed during the extensive training they have done together.  Bobby has come on leaps ad bounds, and will now complete runs in the Blue lane very successfully..We are working on the red lane and he continues to improve every training session.

Bobby runs in Alpha Dogz as lead dog, and Andy is very proud of him.  He has been clocked at 3.96 secs, so is a very fast dog... We just need him doing it in both lanes now...

Ruby (aka Doobs)

Ruby is a 3 year old Border Collie.  She Lives with Rebecca, Andy, Maxie, Bobby  and Diggy.and is co-owned by Cerys.

Ruby was bred by Doreen Smith and is litter Sister to Teddy.

Ruby is a very unique Little Girl, She is a Full Collie but only meaures 11 inches.  She is a really sweer natured girl and can be very affectionate. She loves nothing more than a cuddle from her Mum.  How adorable.

Ruby currently runs in Alpha Dogz and is the team height dog..  Bless her........

Diggy

Diggy is a 17 month old Labrdor x Beagle.  He lives with Rebecca, Andy, Maxie, Bobby and Ruby .
